Tradewind Recruitment is working with a supportive secondary school in Rugby that is looking to appoint a motivated Unqualified History Teacher to join their team immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for a History graduate or aspiring teacher to gain valuable classroom experience in a full-time role.

About the Role:

Deliver History lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, using pre-prepared materials and resources

Engage learners through clear communication and dynamic teaching approaches

Encourage historical thinking, discussion, and analytical writing skills

Support pupils of varying abilities and backgrounds, including those with additional needs

Work alongside qualified teachers in the Humanities department to plan and assess student progress

Maintain a structured and positive classroom environment

Ideal for Candidates Who:

Hold a degree in History or a related subject

Are considering a future in teaching and want to build classroom experience

Have experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, or mentoring role

Are confident in managing behaviour and delivering content in a clear, engaging way

Are proactive, reliable, and open to feedback and professional development

What You'll Need:

A relevant degree (History or closely related field)

Strong communication and organisational skills

A passion for working with young people and supporting learning

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday
