Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Façade Designer to join a growing external envelope specialist working across commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments throughout the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a new and expanding team, contributing to complex façade packages from concept through to construction.

• Produce detailed façade design drawings and technical details.
• Develop construction, fabrication, and installation drawings.
• Design façade systems including rainscreen cladding, curtain walling, glazing systems, and SFS structures.
• Liaise with architects, contractors, consultants, and internal project teams.
• Ensure designs comply with UK building regulations, fire safety requirements, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with structural engineers regarding load paths, bracketry, and support systems.
• Support project delivery through design reviews and technical meetings.
• Assist in resolving technical design issues during installation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards including BS EN 13830 and EN #removed#.

• Experience working as a Façade Designer, Cladding Designer, or Envelope Designer.
• Strong knowledge of façade systems including curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing systems, and SFS framing.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
• Understanding of façade build-ups, thermal performance, and fire regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
