Technical Support Supervisor

Low Carbon Recruitment is working with a leading solar energy specialist to recruit a Technical Operations Assistant to support their expanding ASHP division. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to combine technical knowledge with commercial operations in the renewable energy sector. They design and install ASHP's, GSHP's, Solar Panels & Batteries, Underfloor Heating & Ventilation. A lot of their work is in and around the Cambridge area and this role is office based.

You will be at the heart of the business, supporting the smooth delivery of ASHP projects from enquiry through to completion. This role offers exposure to a range of commercial and technical operations, giving you the chance to develop your career in a rapidly growing sector.

The ideal candidate is proactive, organised, and commercially minded, with experience coordinating projects, supporting sales, and liaising with technical teams.

Responsibilities

Commercial & Client Support

*

Assist the sales team with client enquiries and proposals, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

*

Prepare technical packs, quotations, and handover documentation for clients.

*

Support the sales process with performance tracking and reporting.

*

Ensure excellent client communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Operational & Project Coordination

*

Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

*

Monitor project schedules and provide timely updates to internal teams and clients.

*

Coordinate resources, equipment, and suppliers to maintain project readiness.

*

Track inventory and manage procurement of ASHP's.

Process & Efficiency

*

Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.

*

Maintain accurate records and reporting to support business performance.

*

Support compliance with industry standards, certification, and safety procedures.

Experience Required

*

Previous experience in operations, technical administration, or project coordination.

*

Experience in ASHP, renewables, electrical contracting, or construction is highly desirable.

*

Commercially minded with strong organisational and multitasking skills.

*

Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to liaise with clients, engineers, and suppliers.

*

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.

*

Attention to detail, particularly with technical documentation and project reporting.

Salary Package

*

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per year

*

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

*

20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
