JOB TYPE: Contract

SALARY: £31000 - £33000/annum

We are currently recruiting for business focused and experienced HR Advisors to join our client's team based in Torbay.

The main purpose of the role will be to provide professional HR advice within the company and to it's external customers, managing all aspects of employee relations.

Duties

* To provide professional HR advice to the staff and throughout the company as well as it's external customers

* To effectively apply corporate procedures and policies while assisting line manager to achieve overall objectives and goals

* To act first POC for all HR advice matters to customers, external and internal, ensuring the highest levels of professionalism and customer service.

* To work closely with the HR team and colleagues to a provide respected, timely and credible HR service which supports the company's strategic and operational aspirations, aims and objectives.

* To provide high quality and proactive HR advice to all levels of staff and customers

* To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of young people and children through the work of HR

* To ensure expert and up to date knowledge best practice within HR and employment legislation and law

* To keep up to date knowledge of the company's and external customers employment arrangements, including; Public Health, Education, Local Government, Policies Procedures and Pay Conditions.

* To provide overall framework and professional advice of Grievance Disciplinary, Probations, Retention, Job Evaluations, Restructuring Redundancy, Managing Attendance Workforce Planning and Whistle Blowing

* To work collaboratively with Trade Union Representatives on both an informal formal basis and lead on negotiations of individual employee issues.

* To enhance the company's people performance management by enabling managers to manage their staff with minimal HR intervention through training and coaching.

* To develop and/or update HR procedures and policies as directed by Senior HR colleagues

* To commit to Equal Opportunities and Anti-Discriminatory policies

Personal Specification

* Human Resources CIPD Level 7 or above

* Membership of CIPD

* Demonstrable commitment to CPD

* An excellent and effective communicator to a wide range of audiences

* The ability to motivate and lead others

* Good experience of IT packages, including Word, Excel Outlook

* Up to date knowledge of HR best practice and Employment Law and Legislation

* Experience of working in a Human Resources Team

* Able to work as part of a team and independently

* Experience of advising on Tupe and managing Tupe transfers

* The ability to maintain positive working relationships

* Research skills and ability to compile, analyse and present information gathered from research in range of formats

* It would be desirable but not essential if individual held ILM Level 3 and or Level 5 Coaching Qualifications and ECDL, MOS or equivalent
