Process Control / SCADA Engineers (Mid & Senior Level)

I'm working with a well-established industrial automation and process control business on the Wirral who are looking to strengthen their software team with two hires:

A Mid-Level Process Control / SCADA Engineer

*

A Senior Process Control / Software Engineer

The business delivers PLC, SCADA and fully integrated process control systems into industrial and manufacturing environments. Projects range from concept and specification through to commissioning and aftercare.

This is not a maintenance-only role. Engineers are involved across the full project lifecycle.

The Work

*

PLC programming (Siemens and/or Rockwell)

*

SCADA development (WinCC 7, WinCC Unified, GE iFIX)

*

Process control logic design and integration

*

SQL database integration

*

Scripting for SCADA applications (JavaScript / VBScript)

*

FAT, SAT and site commissioning

*

Client interaction and technical ownership

*

Integration of virtual machines, servers and industrial networks

The Two Levels

Mid-Level Engineer

*

Delivering elements of PLC and SCADA projects

*

Growing confidence with client interaction

*

Looking to step up technically and take on more ownership

Senior Engineer

*

Proven track record delivering process control projects end-to-end

*

Strong SCADA background

*

Comfortable leading projects and mentoring others

*

Interested in long-term progression within a stable SME

The senior hire forms part of a planned succession strategy within the software team, offering genuine long-term opportunity and influence.

You'll Need

*

Background in industrial automation / process control

*

SCADA project delivery experience

*

Siemens and/or Rockwell PLC knowledge

*

Ability to work independently within a small engineering team

*

Willingness to travel for commissioning when required

Permanent roles. Hybrid/remote working available. Salary dependent on level and experience.
