About the Role

As a Commercial Solicitor, you will support a wide range of high-value, non-contentious commercial matters, while also advising on pre-contentious disputes related to contracts and commercial relationships. You will be part of a specialist legal team, within a broader legal department.

You'll lead on complex, high-value projects and play a vital role in structuring, negotiating, and drafting a wide variety of commercial agreements. These may include outsourcing, supply, joint venture, partnership, technology, and infrastructure contracts. Your work will support key business functions and strategic initiatives across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert legal advice on a broad range of commercial contracts and projects

Draft, review, and negotiate complex contractual arrangements

Advise on legal risk and strategic commercial matters

Support on pre-contentious contract disputes and resolutions

Contribute to legal and business-wide knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

Work collaboratively with colleagues in legal, procurement, finance, and operational teams

About You

Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX) in England & Wales

Substantial post-qualification experience in commercial law

Strong track record of advising on complex commercial contracts and projects

Ability to lead on high-value, business-critical matters with minimal supervision

Experience in public procurement law is highly desirable, though not essential

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
