Facilities Engineer

Location: Letchworth
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, Days

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to join a well-established site in Letchworth, working a stable Monday-Friday day shift. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and compliance of all site facilities and services.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and repair building services including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and general facilities systems

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance

Manage and coordinate external contractors and service providers

Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and statutory requirements

Support continuous improvement of facilities and energy efficiency

Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

Respond promptly to facilities-related issues to minimise downtime

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience in a facilities or building services engineering role

Strong electrical and/or mechanical background

Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent)

Knowledge of health & safety, compliance, and statutory inspections

Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively

Strong communication and problem-solving skills
