Equitas is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive state secondary school in Tameside, in their search for a dedicated and passionate Food Technology Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and creative Food Tech specialist to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will plan and deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons, develop students' culinary skills, and promote healthy eating and food education across the school.

• Deliver high-quality teaching of Food Technology, in line with national curriculum standards

• Plan and implement a broad and balanced curriculum with engaging and practical lessons

• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support

• Manage resources and maintain a safe, hygienic, and well-organised food tech environment

• Contribute to departmental planning, assessment, and curriculum development

• A qualified teacher with QTS and specialism in Food Technology (or relevant subject)

• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 students in a secondary school setting

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• A passion for practical learning and inspiring students to develop life-long food skills
