The HSE Advisor will be key in supporting the Derbyshire facilities HSE agenda and to further increase the importance on Health and Safety across the business. Description

The successful HSE Advisor will be a key figure in driving safe practices across the facility

they will also:

Work proactively with managers and leaders across the organisation to establish and maintain a behavioural health and safety culture
Provide all HSE on boarding and training to staff
Provide advice on Health and Safety policy, practices and regulations to ensure compliance with the law and delivery of the company's Health and Safety strategy.
Provide direct management and leadership of any part were Health and Safety expertise is required
Construct regular reports on Health and Safety performance, analyse data and provide comments/recommendations to ensure continual improvement in Health and Safety performance
Provide suitable risk assessment methodology across the business to ensure all hazards are identified and appropriate risk control measures are implementedProfile

NEBOSH Certificate is required
A background in a heavy engineering environment or process background would be advantageous
Ability to engage with employees is essential
A hands-on approach is essential for this role
Background in improving a manufacturing culture on safety would be advantageous
Excellent communication skills at a range of levels (written and verbal)
Working knowledge of Microsoft packages, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
High knowledge of Health and Safety Law, Health and Safety Policies / Procedures / acknowledged best practice
Ability to interpret legislation in the context of the businessJob Offer
