Know How Resourcing are currently recruiting for a production planner to work for a very busy production company based in LS12. This is a great oppertunity to work with a friendly team and to be involved with diffrent areas of the business.
The role will involve working in a team with other Production Planners to ensure we have accurate production schedules for each department. This involves working closely with Account Handlers and production leaders to ensure they create a stringent work flow within the business. You will effectively manage all orders from sales order confirmation, through the production process to dispatch. They need to work effectively with internal production to ensure textile products are branded, dispatched and delivered on time to the highest standards whilst informing the Account Handlers on the status of their jobs.
The main objectives of the role are:
* To input all information provided by the sales teams jobsheets and visuals.
* To work with production team leaders ensuring all jobs have been completed to the production schedule and ensure you have the timings for the jobs.
* To support the sales team ensuring all the jobs booked in on all the production schedules are adhered to and issues is passed back to them.
* To ensure the production departments have all the materials needed to carry out the work the following day.
* Making sure all the production departments run efficiently having the right information.
2. RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Be responsible for 6 department production schedules ensuring all the information you provide is accurate.
* Work closely with all the department leaders as well as our internal warehouse to ensure you have accurate information to feed into the production schedule.
* Check with the warehouse, to ensure the stock for the next day is ok for you to put jobs in production the following day.
* Speak with the artwork team to ensure all materials have been passed to the preparation teams to ensure you can book the job in for the next day.
* Work with the Account Handlers ensuring the right information they provide you is accurate, ensuring all Job sheets have correct information and match up to the visual attached to the job sheet.
* Checking and reporting on the progress of all orders, ensuring Account Handlers are kept up to date and aware of any issues so they can let the customers know anything they need to about an order in progress.
* Develop strong relationships with the sales teams, production teams and our Warehouse team and understand their processes and abilities as well as understanding their capacity, and communicate this to the wider team.
* Build reliable and effective working relationships with team members in other key Departments.
3. Skill Needed:
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Good IT skills, in particular Excel
* The capacity to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
* Attention to detail.
* Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads.
* Problem-solving skills
* Confident to deal with people and communicate in the right way
