Salary: £50000 - £55000/annum

Key Duties and Responsibilities of Assistant Financial Controller (Reporting into the Finance Director)

- Responsible for the delivery of high standards of financial reporting, planning, analysis and commentary.
- Preparation of financial statements, reporting to internal/external stakeholders of the business.
- Preparation of forecasts quarterly and budgets annually.
- Manage Management Accounts Team with a view to nurture and enhance team.
- Ensure a high standard of Finance Control and ensure Finance deadlines and timetables are adhered to.
- Review of monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries, providing assistance where required and validating balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review product costings against their selling prices and shipping.
- Manage quarterly/annual external audits.
- Cash flow management for entities. Ensure cash flow is accurate and timely liaising with management accountants.
- Manage Entities Funding with Bangkok Bank and ensure drawdowns and repayments are made in a timely manner.
- Track expenditure/overheads within business, conduct reviews and evaluations for cost reduction opportunities.
- Ensure that vat returns are processed for individual entities.
- Assistance with R & D Claim.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
- Liaise with Financial Reporting Manager regarding reporting data requirements for Group PLC.
- Produce annual statutory accounts.
- Management of UK corporation tax payments on account.
- We have started the implementation of a new ERP system - IFS, candidate would be required to be a Key/Super user to assist with this implementation/training.
- Any Other Adhoc duties required.

Skills required:
 ACCA/ACMA Qualified with minimum 3 years post qualification experience.
 Extensive technical accounting knowledge, supplemented by industry experience for multiple entities in Retail, Import and manufacturing.
 Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to flex between attention to detail and the big picture as required
 Highly organised with a proactive attitude to meet tight reporting deadlines.
 Advanced level of IT skills - Expert in Microsoft Excel, and IFS experience would be useful.
 Experience of ERP systems
