A privately owned, multi-faceted business based in South Kent is seeking a Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function. This is a senior role with a high degree of autonomy and strategic input, offering the opportunity to play a key part in shaping the financial future of the organisation.Financial Controller Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full accounting function across all group companies
• Deliver timely and accurate monthly management information to the board
• Lead the treasury function, including budget preparation and cash flow forecasting
• Support the raising of finance for ongoing and upcoming projects
• Evaluate and report on development opportunities
• Prepare year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors
• Provide strategic insight on financial and tax matters to support business decision-making

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of VAT and tax implications
• Experience leading and developing a small finance team
• A proactive, commercially-minded approach, with the confidence to engage at board level
