About the Roles
As a secondary ECT working with Zest Education, you’ll have the chance to:
- Teach within your specialist subject area across KS3–KS4
- Develop your teaching practice in supportive, well-structured school settings
- Build strong relationships with pupils and staff
- Deliver engaging lessons that motivate learners of all abilities
- Gain experience that can contribute directly to your ECT induction
We work with a broad mix of secondary schools—from larger academies to smaller community schools—giving you the chance to find the environment that best suits your teaching style.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from ECTs who are:
- Passionate about teaching and improving outcomes for young people
- Adaptable, confident, and eager to develop their craft
- Strong communicators with good behaviour-management skills
- Able to plan and deliver lessons within their specialist subject
- Working towards or already holding QTS via a UK-recognised route

Safeguarding
Zest Education is an APSCo-audited agency committed to safeguarding children. All candidates must:
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS
- Be registered on (or willing to join) the DBS Update Service
- Provide references covering the last two years
- Successfully pass all required safeguarding checks
Minimum Requirement: Recent school-based or youth-based experience within the last 5 years (UK curriculum).
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
