🚧 About the Role

Hard Hat Recruitment is working on behalf of a leading lift services provider who is looking to grow their repairs division. We're currently looking for a qualified Lift Repairs Engineer to join their team.

If you're a proactive, experienced engineer with a strong background in lift repairs and breakdown resolution - this one's for you.

🔧 Responsibilities

Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs on a wide range of lifts

*

Diagnose faults and carry out effective repair work in a timely manner

*

Replace components and ensure systems are operating to full compliance

*

Complete repair documentation and risk assessments

*

Work independently or as part of a team depending on job complexity

*

Liaise with clients and office teams to update on job progress

*

Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota (paid additionally)

✅ What We're Looking For

*

NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent qualification)

*

A minimum of 3 years' experience in lift repair and maintenance

*

Strong knowledge of both mechanical and electrical lift systems

*

Full UK driving licence

*

Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills

*

Strong understanding of LOLER, PUWER, and other relevant H&S regs

*

Good communication and customer service skills

⭐ Desirable (Not Essential)

*

Experience with multi-brand lift systems (KONE, Otis, Schindler, etc.)

*

Hydraulic and traction lift experience

*

LOLER inspection certification

*

Experience in modernisations or refurbishments
