We're recruiting an experienced Interim Fire & Security Contracts Officer to support a large, established housing provider managing tens of thousands of homes across London and the South of England.

This organisation is committed to delivering safe, affordable housing and reinvesting in communities. With a strong focus on compliance, resident safety, and operational excellence, they are seeking additional interim support within their Fire & Security team.

The Role You'll support the Contracts Manager - Fire & Security in overseeing both outsourced and internal delivery of fire-related minor and responsive works following cyclical inspections.

This is a fast-paced, operational role where you'll help ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and fully compliant with regulatory requirements.

The role is primarily office and home-based, with some travel required across London, Hertfordshire, and Basingstoke.

Rate: £350-£450 / Day

Location: covers across London and Herts and Basingstoke. Majority office and home based.

Contract: 6 weeks temporary assignment (with potential extension)

Key Responsibilities
Support the management of fire safety and security works across a large property portfolio

Issue, scope, and monitor works to completion, ensuring evidence is recorded correctly

Review FRA and fire door inspection actions, ensuring compliance standards are met

Monitor contractor performance and conduct site inspections

Ensure all health & safety and legislative obligations are adhered to

Manage financial elements of contracts within agreed budgets

Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external contractors

About You
Experience working in fire safety, compliance, or property maintenance

Strong understanding of contractor management and regulatory standards

Confident reviewing technical documentation and compliance evidence

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Able to work independently and manage competing priorities
