About my client

Here at Foyne Jones, we're on the lookout to find a Retail Store Manager who will play a big part in ensuring our client, a leading DIY and Trade retailer already at the forefront of their industry continues to go from strength to strength.

About the role

As well as leading and training your team to provide excellent customer service and productivity, you'll get to build strong relationships with customers and local traders alike. Implementing timely merchandising activities and maintaining effective stock management routines will also be key. And, when it comes to collaborating with peers and the Regional Operations Manager (ROM) to enhance business performance, again you'll be there, playing your part. Empowering your team to achieve KPIs, providing honest and constructive feedback to the team and ROM and maximising profit and turnover while managing costs and margins - all are aspects of this brilliant opportunity.

About you

To succeed, you'll need significant experience in the retail sector, preferably in a manager or assistant manager role, plus a passion for driving sales and delivering exceptional customer service. A natural leader, you believe in not only developing your own business, but also yourself and your team, using your excellent planning, interpersonal and communication skills.

Integrity, fairness, and consistency in approach are essential attributes too, as is the ability to build positive and effective professional relationships and a willingness to learn about the product range. What's more, you have an outstanding work ethic, a warm and approachable personality and a real commitment to going the extra mile. The ability to perform manual handling tasks up to 25kg and availability to work at weekends is also required.
