Highways Technology Engineer (NHSS8/HERS)

The Opportunity:

I am currently looking for a NHSS8/HERS accredited Highways Technology Engineer to engage on a contract basis to support the ongoing maintenance and commissioning of technology assets on major highways projects.

You will come from a background dealing with roadside technology, such as HADECS, VMS, NRTS, street lighting, etc. with a good understanding of Highways Agency Technology kit and equipment.

Skills and Experience:

* A background in roadside technology or Intelligent Transport Systems, particularly for major UK roads

* Currently accredited with NHSS8/HERS (Highway Electrical Registration Scheme)

* Previous experience working with speed cameras, traffic counters or ANPR cameras would be beneficial

* Knowledge of installation of motorway equipment/cabling

* Full drivers licence
