School Administrator - Temporary Position
- Location: Hampton
- Duration: 1st September to 17th October
- Salary: Circa £15 per hour
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
We are seeking a dedicated School Administrator to join our Client on a temporary basis. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of their school's administrative functions. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for their community, including students, parents, and visitors, and will support our school's daily activities and events.
Day-to-day of the role: - Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and parents, managing inquiries both over the phone and in person.
- Provide first aid support to pupils and assist with the management of pupil health records.
- Prepare and manage daily registers and attendance lists.
- Coordinate with the catering team to facilitate school meal arrangements.
- Support the organization and administration of school trips, including booking venues and transportation.
- Maintain up-to-date pupil records and communicate changes to relevant departments.
- Prepare weekly bulletins and various commendations and certificates.
- Manage email correspondence, ensuring timely responses and appropriate forwarding of queries.
- Handle school and pupil filing, document retention, and correspondence in compliance with the School’s Data Protection Policy.
- Manage the stationery supplies, including stock monitoring and reordering.
- Assist in the production of printed materials for school events such as sports day and concerts.
- Perform additional tasks as required by the Office Manager to support the daily operations of the school.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Good grades at GCSE level.
- Experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of handling sensitive situations with diplomacy.
- Proficient in ICT and familiar with standard office software.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and multitask effectively.
- A professional and compassionate approach, especially in interactions with children.
- Flexibility to adjust work hours if necessary and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
