My client, a forward-thinking, highly-respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Graduate Civil Engineer with a focus on Flood Risk and Drainage to join their growing team of specialist design engineers, near the beautiful, Northern city of York.

Essential Criteria:

A Bachelor's (or Master's) Degree in Civil Engineering
Knowledge of flood risk and drainage strategies, including Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
Working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (including S104, S106, etc.)
Knowledge of InfoWorks ICM, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, InfoDrainage, and other software packages
The ability to work as part of a team, as well as on your own initiative
A willingness to learn and consistently develop skills whilst gaining first-hand experienceIt would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Graduate Civil Engineer to have the following:

Some professional experience, namely in flood risk and drainage
Working knowledge of a range of additional relevant software packages
A demonstrable commitment to improving your knowledge and skills in the field
Excellent time management and communication skillsAs a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will be joining a team of expert design engineers, working on a number of varied, high-profile projects across the region. As you progress through your career, you will take on a range of different responsibilities, including the following:

Working on a range of flood risk and drainage strategy projects
Contributing to the wider team to ensure project goals are delivered to the highest standard, within given timeframes
Using the relevant software packages to undertake technical analysis
Preparing and issuing accurate technical information regarding projects, including calculations, drawings, and models
Liaising with clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors
Contributing to and carrying out site meetings and inspections
Developing and maintaining client relations
