Facilities Technician
Join Foster + Partners and Help Power a World-Class Environment

At Foster + Partners, we're known for shaping some of the most iconic architectural spaces in the world. From city skylines to sustainable campuses, our projects represent the cutting edge of design and engineering. But none of it functions without the seamless operation of the environments behind the scenes — and that's where our Facilities team comes in.

We're looking for a skilled Facilities Technician to join our London office and be a key part of maintaining the operational excellence that supports our creative work. If you're someone who thrives in a hands-on role, has a natural problem-solving mindset, and takes pride in keeping systems running smoothly, this is your chance to make a difference in a world-renowned company.

Why Join Us?

* Work at the Heart of Innovation - Support the infrastructure behind groundbreaking architectural design.

* A Dynamic, High-Profile Environment - Be part of a fast-paced campus where attention to detail and performance truly matter.

* Grow Your Technical Skillset - With exposure to building systems, maintenance routines, and specialist equipment, you'll continuously develop your knowledge.

* Be Part of a Legacy - Contribute to the operations of one of the most recognised design practices globally.

The Role

As a Facilities Technician, you'll be part of a close-knit, proactive team responsible for the day-to-day technical maintenance and safety of our London headquarters. This includes:

* Supporting planned and reactive maintenance across building systems, plant, and equipment.

* Conducting regular inspections, fault diagnostics, and minor repairs.

* Coordinating with external contractors and service providers to ensure high standards are maintained.

* Monitoring BMS and building alarms, responding swiftly to any issues that arise.

* Supporting office and studio reconfigurations, relocations, and events.

* Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.

* Logging activities and maintaining accurate records of maintenance and incidents.

Who We're Looking For

We're open to candidates from a wide range of practical and technical backgrounds, especially those with:

* Experience in building services, mechanical or electrical maintenance, or general facilities support.

* Confidence using basic tools and testing equipment.

* A good understanding of H&S procedures and a proactive attitude toward safe working.

* The ability to stay calm and focused when problems arise.

* A flexible, positive approach to work — no two days will be exactly the same.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Make an Impact Behind the Scenes

This is a rare opportunity to join a globally recognised practice in a role that keeps everything moving behind the curtain. If you're hands-on, take pride in problem-solving, and want to be part of something extraordinary — we'd love to hear from you.
