We are looking for a Scrum Master/Agile Leader. In this role you will ensure our engineering team(s) live agile values and principles, follow the processes and practices they agreed to use. You will be facilitating either Scrum or Kanban, or both, running the associated ceremonies, guiding the team on how to use Agile/Scrum, removing impediments, shielding the team from external interference, coaching the team members, supporting and educating the product owner(s). You will be member of a team of infrastructure engineers, developers, architects and QA testers participating on the technical design, modeling, coding, testing and release of the automated cloud solutions to production.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and facilitate all agile ceremonies
  • Track progress to identify blockages and developer/engineer divergence from allocated tasks
  • Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values
  • Assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coach the team to higher levels of maturity
  • Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving
  • Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improve transparency
  • Support and educate the Product Owner, especially on backlog refinement and maintaining the product backlog
  • Provide all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a computer related field
  • At least 3 years hands-on experience practicing the Scrum Master role in a team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices and theory
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches like XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc. is an advantage
  • Experience supporting or leading transition from Waterfall to Scrum is a plus
  • Awareness of and experience with Agile techniques and principles like User Stories, ATDD, TDD, CI/CD, Automated Testing, Agile Games
  • Independent problem solver with troubleshooting, decision making and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certifications are considered an asset
