Global Category Manager – Indirects

Kidlington, Oxfordshire (Hybrid: 2–3 days on-site)£55,000 – £75,000 per annum DOE + excellent benefits

Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Global Category Manager – Indirects to lead a significant global spend portfolio across multiple regions and business units. Reporting to the Global Head of Indirects, you will shape and execute global procurement strategy across Indirect Categories, Facilities Management (Soft FM), CapEx and Utilities.

About the Role

You will:

  • Develop and deliver strategic category plans across Indirects, FM, CapEx and Utilities.
  • Partner with external property consultants to support management of the global property portfolio.
  • Lead global sourcing activities, negotiate key contracts and drive cost optimisation.
  • Build strong supplier relationships and ensure robust KPI/SLA management.
  • Analyse global spend and market data to identify opportunities for value creation.
  • Embed procurement governance, policies and continuous improvement across business units.
  • Support ESG, sustainability and wider corporate initiatives.
  • Act as senior escalation point for business-critical suppliers.
  • Provide regular reporting, category updates and performance insights to senior stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong procurement background in a global category role.
  • Indirect category expertise essential.
  • CIPS qualification (desirable).
  • Degree educated or equivalent level of experience.
  • Experience in complex multinational environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation capability and influencing skills.
  • Analytical, data-driven and results-focused.
  • A collaborative, customer-focused team player.
