Technical Administrator
We are currently recruiting for a Technical Administrator at our client based in Wigan, who are a leading bakery ingredients company, this role will be initially on a 4-month FTC.
Role in the organisation
The role will be varied and be as and when required, but will include management of all aspects of HACCP, customer, and internal specifications, creating procedures and maintaining systems in place, supplier management and approval processes and complaint investigations.
Sphere of responsibility:
The technical administrator will support the technical team by undertaking tasks related to compliance, codes of practice and legal requirements. You will also be responsible for the maintenance of technical documentation
Key duties/responsibilities:
- Creating and issuing of product specifications - for internal and customer use
- Contacting suppliers for documentation as part of the product approval process
- Customer enquiries
- Completing customer questionnaires
- Interaction with internal and external customers.
- Assist/participate with site audits BRC, Customer, RSPO etc.
Education/Experience:
Proven experience working in a technical environment and ideally be familiar with the technical function and have previous specification and BRC experience. In addition, HACCP and Food Safety qualifications are essential
GCSE in Maths and English
Legal labelling training - not essential, would be beneficial.
Familiar with FIR, food safety and subsequent regulations
