Finance Assistant

Hours: Mon-Fri 9am - 5:30pm | 30-minutes lunch | Hybrid working

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum DOE.

Proactive Personnel are recruiting for a Finance Assistant in Telford, Shropshire on behalf of our well-established manufacturing client.

Reporting to the Finance Assistant and working closely with the Finance Controller, you'll take a key role in the Finance function. You will also work closely with other Departments to support the smooth running of the business.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

* Full ownership of the Sales / Purchase ledger

* Raising Supplier / Adhoc Purchase Orders

* Bank / payment gateway reconciliations

* Dealing with supplier invoice / payment queries

* Processing employee expense claims

* Supporting with the month end close

* Supporting the business with financial and process queries

* Ad hoc financial analysis tasks

Ideal Candidate:

* Gained experience working in a similar role

* Excel experience

* Previous knowledge on Finance Systems - Full training will be given

* Strong attention to detail

* Pride yourself on the quality of your work and have a methodical approach to tasks

* Communicate clearly and concisely with finance and non-finance colleagues

* Ability to work remotely, communicate via teams with your manager and other members of the Team / Business

* Be ambitious and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment

* Strive for improvement
