The Opportunity

O'Neill & Brennan are currently working on behalf of a well-established and growing regional main contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support their expanding project portfolio.

This contractor delivers a wide range of projects, from small refurbishments through to multi-million-pound developments, across London and the South of England. They have built a strong reputation for quality delivery and are committed to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and compliance across all sites.

The Role

This is a regional position, supporting multiple live sites from London down to Hampshire. The successful candidate will work closely with site teams and senior management to promote a positive safety culture and ensure all works are carried out in line with current legislation and company procedures.

The role would suit a proactive and confident Health & Safety professional who is comfortable working across multiple projects and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

Providing expert health & safety advice across multiple construction sites

Carrying out regular site inspections and audits

Supporting the preparation and review of RAMS

Investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses, and producing reports

Delivering toolbox talks and supporting site-based safety initiatives

Monitoring subcontractor compliance

Assisting with audits and ensuring adherence to relevant standards and legislation

Promoting best practice and continuous improvement across the business

Candidate Requirements

Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction sector

NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent)

Strong working knowledge of UK health & safety legislation

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Ability to manage a varied workload across multiple sites

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region
