Our well established client is looking for an experienced Commercial Insurance Business Development Executive to join their friendly team.
This is a hybrid role and you will be office based 2 days a week.
You will be responsible for proactively creating and developing new business whilst providing support and business development to a designated portfolio of accounts to maximise their growth and encourage long term relationships. You will also be dealing with renewals and adjustments.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Proactively generate new business to complement the business plans of the business.
- Initiate and conduct marketing campaigns to generate own leads and appointments by a combination of tele-marketing, mailshots, networking and referrals.
- To track and monitor progress of each target market project, monitoring conversion rates for leads, appointments, quote and sales activity.
- To generate and support target market focus projects across the company.
- To adhere and support new and existing sales incentives across the company, i.e. Cross selling, networking and referrals.
- To ensure that customer service levels are implemented and maintained to a high level.
- Accurately document all leads and appointments with clients on manual and IT based systems.
- Ensure that all clients are appropriately informed of all matters relating to their insurance in a timely manner and in accordance with FCA guidelines.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience of working within commercial insurance
- A confident communicator, who is self-motivated.
- A good understanding of FCA regulations would be an advantage.
- Organised and proactive, with strong attention to detail.
- Working towards or already holding a Certificate in Insurance (CII) is desirable.
The role offers a generous basic salary + commission structure
