Description

The successful Purchase Ledger Clerk will likely have the following responsibilities:

  • Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare payment runs and ensure all payments are authorised appropriately.
  • Maintain and update the purchase ledger system.
  • Assist with month-end tasks, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address any invoicing or payment queries.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the accounting function.

Profile

A successful Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:

  • Experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting systems and processes.
  • Excellent numerical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
