Despatch Clerk – Nights Location: Britannia Road, Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, EN8 7RQ Salary: £24, Hours: 48 hours per week, 9pm to 7am – 2 week rolling shift pattern About the Company: Our client is one of the leading fresh fruit and veg suppliers and wholesalers to the UK foodservice industry and catering industry. As a family owned ; They provide more than 3,000 different types of fresh produce and chilled foods from around the world, including more than 1,000 different varieties of fruit and vegetables. An opportunity has arisen within our Distribution function based at Waltham Cross. They are looking for a versatile individual to join the Distribution team and support our growth and performance improvement. If you relish a challenge, love change and are looking to progress your career and maximise your learning then this could be the role for you. Despatch Clerk Responsibilities:
•Issuing invoices, run sheets, customer keys, dart tags, fuel cards and company phones
•Briefing & debriefing drivers ensuring accurate timely completion of paperwork
•Checking the return of all equipment and goods leaving the depot.
•Logging vehicle departure times, dart tags, key counts, fuel card numbers and company phones on the deployment spreadsheets
•Preparing all relevant sheets for drivers ready at the start of their shift
•Liaising with Team Leaders and Distribution Shift Managers to ensure that the driver’s paperwork has been collated before they depart
•Assist the Team Leaders with any other duties to help expedite driver’s departure
•Other admin duties as and when required Despatch Clerk Requirements:
•Proven successful experience to work to tight deadlines
•Proven experience of working within a fast and busy environment
•PC skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
•Ability to work on your own and in a team
•Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
•Problem solving skills and customer focus
•Ability to work methodically
