We're working with a respected and growing M&E contractor based in London, who are looking to bring an experienced Mechanical Estimator into their pre-construction team. This is a permanent position working on a wide variety of commercial projects, including office fit-outs, schools, hospitals, laboratories, and data centres.

The Role:

As the Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for mechanical works across a broad range of commercial building projects. You'll work closely with design teams, suppliers, and project managers to ensure profitable and well-planned project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare mechanical cost estimates for commercial projects (HVAC, plumbing, public health systems)
• Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Identify value engineering options to ensure competitive submissions
• Attend tender and client meetings where required
• Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure smooth handovers

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the commercial construction sector
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems within environments such as offices, healthcare, education, and data centres
• Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
• Ability to interpret mechanical design drawings and technical documentation
• Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Ensign, Estimation, or equivalent) and Excel
