We are partnered with a PE-backed, highly acquisitive organisation seeking to appoint a Senior Management Accountant to join their group finance function in Manchester City Centre (hybrid working available).

This senior role will see you take ownership of key areas of group reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insight across multiple entities. You will oversee complex consolidations, intercompany journals and support strategic initiatives, providing valuable financial insight to drive decision-making at the highest level.

Key responsibilities:

• Produce consolidated monthly management accounts across a diverse and evolving group.
• Deliver variance analysis with clear commentary on performance against budget and forecast.
• Manage intercompany journals and reconciliations, ensuring the integrity of group accounts.
• Perform detailed monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls.
• Support the Group Financial Controller with strategic projects, M&A integration, and ad-hoc reporting.
• Lead process improvement initiatives, implementing efficiencies and enhancing reporting quality.
• Mentor and support junior members of the finance team as required.

Key requirements:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with strong technical grounding and industry experience.
• Experience in a Senior Management Accountant or equivalent role within a fast-paced, multi-entity or PE-backed environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to provide valuable business insight to senior stakeholders.
• Proven track record of delivering under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence and partner at all levels.
