Job Opportunity: Security Systems Install Engineer

Location: Reading
Job Purpose:
Be the technical install engineer for designated stores, responding to Fire, CCTV, EAS, Access Control, PA, and Automatic Pedestrian Gates.

Key Accountabilities:

Undertake installs according to customer KPIs, including response, commissioning and closure.
Ensure all planned, reactive, and statutory works designated to a CCTV engineer are completed in line with contractual obligations.
Complete PPM works within agreed timescales, ensuring accurate paperwork completion.
Respond promptly to service call requests during normal hours and on-call duty, referring out-of-hours issues to specialists.
Order parts as needed, ensuring prompt fitment on delivery and chasing outstanding parts not delivered within 5 days.
Complete all necessary paperwork to measure service performance and undertake surveys as requested.
Communicate regularly with the Duty Manager on store visits to advise on repair and maintenance issues.
Ensure all tools and equipment for maintenance and repairs are available and serviceable.
Carry out required Fire PPM visits to BS5839.
Ensure Fire alarm systems comply with BS 5839 and report defects as necessary.
Stay informed of regulations and codes of practice relevant to the tasks.
Notify the company helpdesk of procedural task condition upon cessation of works.
Conduct surveys and complete reports as required by the supervisor/technical specialist.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Electrical Competency Qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds).
Proficiency in CCTV IP/analogue systems and Fire alarm systems.
PC literate.
