RG Consultancy are working with a professional services business in Stockport who are recruiting an administrator to work alongside their accounts/payroll department. This is an ideal role for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a background in general administration or accounts.

The Role

  • Preparation of invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Handle weekly and monthly timesheet entries for staff and clients
  • Perform data entry and update financial records using accounting software and MS Excel
  • Liaise with clients and team members regarding billing and payment queries
  • Updating, maintaining and onboarding new and existing client information
  • Ownership of the accounts spreadsheet
  • Answering calls to clients, dealing with queries
  • Making appointments and diary management
  • Greeting clients and being a first point of contact on site and over the phone
  • Order and purchase office supplies when needed
  • General administration; managing filing, emails, phone calls and providing general administrative support to the accounts and payroll team

The Person

  • Previous experience in a similar admin role (accounts/finance admin support would be an advantage)
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience within an accountancy practice would be an advantage
