Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Primary School in Wakefield

About the Role:

Engage Education are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is confident taking on HLTA-level responsibilities within a thriving primary school in Wakefield. This full-time role offers the opportunity to develop your teaching practice while contributing actively to whole-school support and classroom delivery.

You will join a supportive and dedicated team in a nurturing environment with excellent facilities. The school is committed to the professional development of its staff and provides a strong foundation for early career teachers looking to grow, gain experience, and make an impact.

The ideal applicant will be:

• A qualified ECT (Early Career Teacher) eager to develop and gain experience
• Confident taking on HLTA responsibilities, including leading small groups, covering classes, and supporting lesson delivery
• Experienced in working with children across primary age ranges
• Able to guide and support teaching assistants, including contributing to their professional development
• Confident working with pupils with a wide range of SEND needs
• Able to demonstrate a secure understanding of the National Curriculum
• An inspiring educator with a genuine passion for working with children
• Creative, enthusiastic, and able to bring new ideas to the classroom
