Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking a Transport Assistant on a temporary basis, working with a Greater Manchester local authority.

Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 07.30 to 11.30 and 14.30 to 18.00
Friday: 07.30 to 11.00 and 13.30 to 17.00
Total weekly hours: 37

The postholder will have individual responsibility to provide physical, practical, and emotional support for people with physical disabilities whilst transporting them to and from various establishments.

Main Duties:
• Safely transport clients to and from various establishments
• Provide physical, practical, and emotional support to clients during transportation
• Operate the Courier Service when required
• Maintain a professional and caring approach with clients and their relatives
• Contribute to a flexible and responsive transport service

Essential Criteria:
• Category D driving licence
• Experience of working with people with disabilities or challenging behaviour
• Ability to work flexibly across split shifts
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
