A highly respected and award-winning residential developer-renowned for creating beautiful, sustainable communities-is seeking an ambitious Town Planner to join their expanding Chelmsford team.

This is an outstanding opportunity to work with a forward-thinking organisation that champions quality design, strategic growth, and long-term placemaking. You'll be joining a collaborative planning function that works closely with land, design, and technical teams to bring new developments from concept through to delivery.

The Role

As a Town Planner, you will:

Support the promotion of land opportunities through the planning system.
Prepare and manage planning applications, appeals, and development strategies.
Undertake site assessments and contribute to masterplanning work.
Engage with local authorities, consultants, and stakeholders to help secure implementable permissions.
Monitor planning policy changes and advise internal teams accordingly.
Work on a diverse pipeline of residential-led schemes across the region.

About You

We'd love to speak with candidates who have:

RTPI-accredited degree or equivalent.
Experience gained in a developer, consultancy, or local authority environment.
Strong understanding of UK planning policy and development processes.
Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.
