Job Title: Extrusion Operator - Night Shift
Hourly Rate: £13.00 per hour
Shift Pattern: 48 hours per week

* Monday to Thursday: 18:00PM - 06:00AM
Location: West Bromwich

About the Role:

A well-established manufacturing company in West Bromwich is seeking a dedicated and experienced Extrusion Operator to join its production team on a permanent night shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating extrusion machinery to produce high-quality components, ensuring consistent output and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Set up and operate extrusion machinery in line with production requirements

* Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure consistent quality

* Inspect products regularly to confirm they meet required specifications

* Record production data accurately and report any issues to supervisors

* Perform routine maintenance checks and report faults promptly

* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area

* Adhere to all health & safety procedures and wear correct PPE at all times

* Work independently and as part of a team to meet production targets

* Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with training when required

Skills and Experience Required:

* Previous experience as an extrusion operator or in a similar machine operation role

* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control

* Ability to work night shifts consistently and maintain a high level of focus

* Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

* Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

* Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player

Desirable (but not essential):

* Experience working with plastic or metal extrusion machinery

* NVQ or relevant qualification in Production or Engineering

* Forklift or overhead crane license
