We are looking for more than just experienced drivers. We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate a warm, positive and people focused attitude and who will go above and beyond to treat our passengers with care, dignity, and respect.

The post holder will join the passenger team in Birmingham for 30 hours per week, providing professional and high-quality care, collecting passengers from their homes and transporting them to Day Centres. The post holder will drive a a minibus in accordance with the law, demonstrating a commitment to the comfort and safety of passengers whilst showing consideration for other road users.

- All aspects of safe loading and driving vehicles
- Assessment and training to MiDAS standards

What we expect from you:
1. A full UK driving licence with D1 entitlement and a maximum of 3 penalty points
2. Experience of driving larger vehicles
3. Experience of transporting people or experience of providing care and support to individuals in a health or social care setting
4. A satisfactory enhanced DBS check
5. A caring and compassionate nature
6. Excellent communication skills
7. Resilience and the ability to work under pressure
8. Flexibility to meet the needs of the business

Hours of work:
The successful applicant will be required to work Monday to Friday on a spilt shift basis. The hours worked each day will vary due to passenger numbers, routes and traffic conditions but are expected to be:
7.00am – 10.00am
Down time
2.30pm – 5.30pm
Please note that employees are only paid for the hours they are on shift and not the down time between shifts, many employees choose to use this time to return home or run personal errands. A break room is available for employees to relax in comfort between shifts, should they choose to stay on site.
