MIG Welder/Fitter - Permanent Role

Location: Stockport

Pay: £19.22/hour (Days) | £25.56/hour (Nights)

Shifts:

Days: Mon-Thu 7:00am-3:30pm, Fri 7:00am-12:30pm

Nights: Mon-Thu 9:15pm-6:55am

Type: Workshop-based | Overtime Available | Shift Flexibility Required

Join a respected engineering firm in Stockport, known for delivering high-integrity fabrications for safety-critical industries. We're looking for skilled MIG Welders with fitting experience for a permanent role, offering long-term security and excellent earning potential. You'll need to be flexible with shift patterns, including being open to work nights (paid at a 33% premium).

What we're looking for:

Level 3 Apprenticeship in Welding/Fabrication or equivalent

Strong MIG welding ability on armoured steel or other thick-gauge materials

Confident reading technical drawings and completing fabrication/fitting tasks

Experience in high-integrity sectors such as nuclear, defence, oil & gas, or subsea

Key responsibilities:

MIG welding and fitting of heavy-section steel components

Precision fabrication based on detailed engineering drawings

Workshop-based work with consistent hours and available overtime
