Locum RIS Registered Manager: £300–£400 per day

Hybrid | Full-Time | Locum Contract

Are you an experienced Registered Manager with a passion for driving high-quality care and reablement services? Our client in Berkshire is looking for a dedicated and motivated Locum RIS Registered Manager to join their Reablement and Independence Service (RIS) on a temporary basis.

About the Role:

As the Registered Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of Berkshire's RIS domiciliary care service, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations, NICE guidelines, and the Care Act 2014. You will work within a multi-disciplinary, strengths-based team to deliver short-term, outcome-focused interventions that promote independence and reduce long-term dependency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations and ensure CQC compliance across all regulated activities.
  • Line manage a team including a Compliance Officer, Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Reablement Assistants (managing a team of 40+ staff).
  • Drive service improvement through audits, staff development, and quality assurance activities.
  • Ensure person-centred care plans and risk assessments are in place for all service users.
  • Manage a staffing budget of £750,000.
  • Represent RIS in key meetings with stakeholders across the Integrated Care System (ICS).
  • Ensure safe staffing rotas and effective on-call coverage across a 7-day rota.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in community-based reablement or rehabilitation
  • Registered Manager experience with knowledge of CQC standards
  • Strong leadership and staff management skills
  • Excellent understanding of the Care Act 2014 and safeguarding processes
  • Experience managing budgets and large multi-disciplinary teams
  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent management qualification
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
