We are currently recruiting in the Medway area for a Factory Operative to work within an engineering company in the castings department on a full-time, permanent basis. You will have used hand tools, and be happy working in an industrialised environment.

You will be responsible for the production and basic visual inspection of components;this includes operating specialised machinery and equipment,you will be trained, and performing manual handling tasks.

Your main duties will include:

Machine operation to assist in the production of the castings/moulds.
Operating the band saw
Visual inspection of castings
Manual handling
Booking in of jobs using the touch screen system and completing job cards.You will be working 48 hours per week, 6.00am to 16.30pm, Monday to Thursday and #removed# on a Friday. Overtime is paid at an enhanced rate if required.

Previous factory/manufacturing/machine operating experience is desirable.

Full training will be provided.
