Job Description
Job Summary:
The inspector performs in-process and Final inspection of assemblies and sub-assemblies manufactured by PFI AND suppliers. This position also performs inspection of in-coming materials used for production, in accordance with the engineering requirements. This position also conducts receiving inspections based on specified C=O sampling plans. This position verifies that the products conform to the Engineering and Customer Requirements. The position travels to customer sites to evaluate problems and or assist with installations.
Duties:
Perform dimensional inspection of assemblies and sub-assemblies
Perform visual inspections of materials and finished goods.
Perform Functional Testing in accordance with Quality and Customer Requirements
Document Non-Conformances found during inspection and testing
Supervises temporary staff
Responsible for communication between suppliers and Design Engineers.
Assist with MRB evaluations and RGA’s
In-Store Installers:
- In addition to the above responsibilities they must have the ability to assemble products at store locations.
- Good communication skills in order to supervise Temps in the field.
- An understanding of our products and options.
Skills/Qualifications:
Associate Degree preferred
On The Job Training or experience in similar job.
The ability to read and interpret Drawings and Test Instructions
The ability to use and understand various gages used during inspection.
Use proper lifting techniques or team lift if not comfortable with the weight needed to be lifted.
Over 5 years of experience
Good Communication skills
Competent at Microsoft office suite
