SUPPLY CHAIN QUALITY MANAGER - INSIDE IR35 - £41 PER HOUR - BROUGHTON, FLINTSHIRE - 12 MONTHS - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS
An opportunity has arisen within a global aerospace organisation for a Supply Chain Quality Manager to support procurement and supply chain operations across a complex international supplier base.
This role is responsible for managing the performance, quality, and development of a portfolio of manufacturing suppliers delivering detailed metallic components into multiple aircraft programmes.
The supplier base covers machined and formed metal components (hard and soft metals) used in primary aerostructures, requiring strong oversight across quality, delivery, and industrial capability.
Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary interface between the business and external suppliers for operational and quality matters
Support supplier selection activities, including capability and risk assessment during tendering
Own supplier performance across On-Time Delivery (OTD) and On-Quality (OQ) metrics
Ensure suppliers meet required quality certifications and regulatory standards
Support new product introduction (NPI) and industrialisation to ensure readiness for serial production
Assess supplier capacity, capability, and scalability in line with programme demand
Identify industrial and supply chain risks, implementing mitigation and recovery plans where required
Lead supplier performance improvement initiatives and continuous improvement activities
Monitor and report on supplier operational performance using relevant procurement and quality tools
Operate in line with compliance, regulatory, and export control requirements
Experience
~5+ years within Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, or Customer Support in a regulated environment
Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations within manufacturing or aerospace
Experience managing supplier performance and quality in complex, multi-tier supply chains
Exposure to new product introduction / industrialisation phases
Technical & Domain Knowledge
Knowledge of quality standards and frameworks (e.g. QMS, NADCAP, ISO standards)
Engineering or technical background beneficial, particularly within metallic manufacturing or aerostructures
Understanding of export control / compliance environments (e.g. ITAR/EAR awareness advantageous)
