Well established manufacturing firm require a Design Assistant to join their busy design office near Oldham. The successful candidate will report to the technical design Manager and support the team with a broad range of duties.

Main duties and responsibilities

Processing and modifying general arrangement drawings
Producing bills of materials to specific order requirements
Dealing with customer queries both verbally and via email
Occasionally assisting with site surveys throughout the UK
Various administrative tasks within the technical department

Role Requirements

We are looking for someone with a strong foundation in manufacturing or construction processes, and a practical understanding of how structures are built and how components interact. Knowledge of materials, fabrication techniques, and assembly methods would be good skills to possess.

General computer skills
High attention to detail
Good knowledge of Microsoft office - Excel in particular
CAD experience is essential
Technical/manufacturing qualifications would be considered advantageous.
Driving licence.

Monday to Friday 40 hours

The role will suit individuals currently working as Design Assistant, CAD Designer, Manufacturing Engineer, Design Engineer, Technical Assistant and be living within a commutable distance of Oldham, Commutable from Manchester, Bury, Rochdale, Huddersfield, Holmfirth, Glossop or be willing to relocate.
