We are seeking an experienced Apparel Product Developer to join our client's dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in sportswear, activewear, and athleisure product development. The successful candidate will work closely with their design teams to ensure that their product visions are executed to the highest standards.
Day-to-day of the role: - Assist and support the Men’s and Women’s Product Developer with daily duties.
- Oversee all aspects of operation work and costings.
- Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure the design vision is well executed, maintaining high standards and adhering to key deadlines such as tech pack submissions.
- Involved in the design approval process, supplier allocation, and ensuring all necessary documents are provided to suppliers.
- Create measurement charts and communicate with suppliers regarding any queries or issues.
- Manage the uploading of CADs on the Line Art and ensure correct labeling through the Supplier Portal for sampling and production.
- Approve lab dips, print strike-offs, and embroideries at all stages.
- Attend fit sessions to ensure products are fitted and amended correctly.
- Communicate with factories regarding timelines and pricing and manage the critical path with the operations team.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Minimum 5 years’ experience in Apparel Product Development within the sportswear, activewear, and athleisure industry.
- Proficient in Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator; capable of amending CADs, working with tech packs, measuring, and fitting.
- In-depth knowledge of garment construction techniques and pattern cutting.
- Experience with technical fabrics and performance garment constructions.
- Experience dealing with suppliers based in the Far East and working on a wholesale business model.
- Experience in sport accessories development is a plus.
