SEN Outreach Tutor (Bromley & Surrounding Areas)

About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate SEN Outreach Tutor to deliver personalised 1:1 education sessions to young learners not currently attending school. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher looking to move away from a traditional classroom environment and make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable students through tailored, engaging lessons.

As an Outreach Tutor, you'll work with students who may have gaps in their learning due to extended absence from education. Many will have SEN, low confidence, or additional emotional and behavioural needs. Your role is to reignite their interest in learning, help them build confidence, and provide much-needed structure in their day-to-day lives.

You'll be supported by Prospero's experienced team, who will work with you to monitor progress, provide training opportunities, and ensure the best possible outcomes for each learner.

Key Details:

Location: Bromley and surrounding areas (travel may be required to pupil homes or local venues)
Position: SEN Outreach Tutor
Contract Type: Flexible - temporary contract, tailored per student needs
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Part-time or full-time (depending on your availability)
Pay Rate: From £25 per hour
Session Length: Minimum 1 hour to maximum 3 hours per sessionWho We're Looking For:

Qualified teacher (QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent)
A minimum of 6 months' experience teaching in a UK setting
Strong understanding of working with pupils with SEN, SEMH or disengaged learners
Confident planning and delivering personalised learning programmes
Passionate about re-engaging students and making learning accessible and funDesirable but not essential:

Recent safeguarding training
Experience with outreach or home tuitionRequirements:

Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)
Two recent, relevant references
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable learnersWhat We Offer:
