We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role involves working across various key stages, providing both one-to-one support and group assistance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Day-to-day of the role: - Provide tailored support to students with SEN, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
- Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
- Support the social and emotional development of students, acting as a mentor.
- Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Adapt resources to meet the needs of students with varying disabilities and learning needs.
- Facilitate small group sessions as well as one-to-one support sessions.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in working 1:1 and with small groups of students with SEN.
- Understanding of the educational needs and challenges faced by students with SEN.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- A compassionate and patient approach to handling challenging situations.
- Relevant qualifications in education or a related field are preferred.
