Position: Nursery Room Leader

Location: Rochdale

Contract Type: Full Time

Rate of Pay: £140 - £160.00 per day

Working Hours: 08:30 - 15:30

About the Nursery:

Are you an experienced and motivated early years practitioner with a passion for supporting children's development? We are working with a friendly, inclusive nursery in Rochdale seeking a dedicated Nursery Room Leader to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role within the room, guiding staff, supporting children aged 0-5, and ensuring the highest standards of care and learning.

As a Nursery Room Leader, you will:

Lead the daily running of your designated room, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and child-centred environment.

Support children's learning and development through engaging, age-appropriate activities.

Oversee key workers, assist with planning, and maintain accurate observations and assessments.

Promote positive behaviour and help children build confidence, independence, and social skills.

Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the wider nursery team to deliver high-quality early years provision.

Requirements:

Previous experience working in an Early Years setting is essential.

Experience in a senior or room-leading role is highly desirable.

A minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).

Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills.

A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young children.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK.

Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS certificate registered on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one.

Provide two professional, child-related references covering the last two years.
