Head Of Financial Crime Governance

As a member of the Intesa Sanpaolo London and Banca IMI Financial Crime team, this role is primarily responsible to Responsible for oversight of the firm’s compliance with the FCA’s Rules on systems and controls against money laundering and of all aspects of the firm’s AML/CTF activities.

Scope and Purpose
Manage the Financial Crime governance team
is responsible for providing advice and guidance in relation to Financial Crime matters to the MLRO and Branch management, ensuring assessment of risk for new products and services;
is responsible to maintain and deliver a training program ensuring
is responsible for the provision and active maintenance of the financial crime related policies and procedures;
works closely with the Head of Financial Intelligence Unit to maintain financial crime risk assessments and managing the related action plan;
provides support to the Head of Compliance and Financial Crime Unit in the production of periodic reports
provides support to the MLRO to authorise high risk customers, correspondent banking relationships or clients associated to PEP, as well PEP relationships,
Manage the financial crime risk assessments on a regular basis.
Required Experience
Prior 10 years experience of working in Financial Crime areas

Competencies Required
Proven knowledge of Financial Crime frameworks, policies, procedures and processes (AML, ABC, Sanctions, PEPs.  etc.)
Previous experience in authorisation of KYC activities for high risk customers
Deep understanding of the corporate and investment banking business
Knowledge of financial institutions, correspondent banking and trade finance products and services
Prior experience in lead a team
Previous experience in the production of management information and reports
Sound presentation skills, and the confidence to influence colleagues at all levels
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to work under pressure
Microsoft Office capabilities, particularly in Word, Excel and Power Point.
