Service Administrator

Are you a highly organised office professional that has worked in the automotive sector previously or has the desire to join a local automotive company within the Service department?

As Service Administrator you will be responsible for supporting all customers with booking in their services and maintenance routines, providing service advise to customers, booking appointments and all other general administration duties. We can consider candidates who have a background in automotive sales, reception, or senior administration for this vacancy. Whilst this is not sales role there is the opportunity for extra bonuses and commission should you sell any additional products and services to the customers.

Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £24,000 + Bonus options

Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 17.00pm

Duration: Permanent

* Advising customers about necessary service for routine maintenance

* Updates customers about inspection results and make recommendations for repairs

* Preparation of invoices after service and repairs are completed

* Provide information to technicians on vehicle problems

* Dealing with customer complaints

* Diary management and making appointments for customers

* Meeting and greeting service customers

* Giving customers advise on how to retain value in their vehicles

* Providing estimates for service and repair costs

* Taking customer payments

* Providing updates to customers via telephone on their service

* Ensuring that vehicles are parked in correct collection bays

* Keeping service menus and pricing guides up to date

* Answering a busy telephone

* Responding to emails quickly and efficiently

* Keeping the service area clean and tidy

Skills and Experience Required:

* Previous automotive experience desirable (either sales, reception, or service)

* Confident telephone manner

* Ability to use various computer systems with ease

* Confident at multi-tasking

* Able to cross sell and upsell when required to assist team sales targets
