Join a leading independent accountancy firm. REED Practice are seeking an Audit and Accounts Semi-Senior to join our growing team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to enhance their experience in a supportive and innovative environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Work across both office-based and client-site environments, supporting the planning, execution, and completion of audit and accounts assignments.
- Support Seniors and Assistant Managers on larger assignments, ensuring tasks are completed to the required standard.
- Lead smaller assignments with support from Managers and Supervisors.
- Delegate tasks to trainees, providing clear instructions and ongoing feedback.
- Liaise directly with clients to assist with planning and completion of assignments, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Report assignment progress, issues, budgets, and timescales to Supervisors and Managers.
- Take ownership of assignments, ensuring work is delivered to a high-quality standard and within deadlines.
- Maintain high professional standards of conduct and compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
- Keep up to date with changes in ICAEW regulations and internal systems.
- Study towards ACA qualification, adhering to the firm’s training policy and maintaining strong exam progress.
- Undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in line with Institute and firm requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience within an accountancy practice in a Semi-Senior Audit and Accounts role.
- Ability to apply basic technical knowledge in line with firm standards and audit regulations.
- Consistently meet deadlines and budget expectations.
- Mentor and support Associate team members, sharing knowledge and encouraging their development.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and the team.
- Effective organisational and time management skills.
- Proactive, solution-focused approach with a “can-do” attitude.
- Proficient IT skills, including Excel and audit and accounts software CCH Accounts Production, CCH Audit Automation and practice management systems.
